Club Tycoon: Idle Clicker
Idle games (also called incremental games or clickers) are a type of video game. The main point of this type of game consists of doing simple actions like repeatedly clicking on the screen. The reward is simple, the player clicks and receives a certain amount of in-game currency. Then the player can spend the earned currency to purchase items or skills that will make it possible to earn currency faster or automatically even without clicking. The income sources can be presented in different forms: from various buildings, factories and farms to a completely empty place on the screen that the player just needs to click on. Such sources give a certain amount of currency over time and can be additionally upgraded to increase the amount of currency earned per second. But at the same time, the cost of buildings and upgrades grows in such a way that the player will always spend the same amount of time.
Idle games gained their popularity in 2013 after the success of Cookie Clicker and they became especially popular on mobile devices. Some people consider such games to be senseless and call them anti-games. However, for many players, the simplicity provides a constant distraction. You can always build your empire in the virtual world, all you need are these money-making machines.
